Once a ski resort in Kananaskis, Fortress Mountain is now used by Canadian researchers to study the impact of climate change on the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In early December 2009, scenes for the science fiction thriller Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio were filmed here. In December 2011, the cast and crew of The Bourne Legacy also worked on the site. The area has appeared in films such as the British-Canadian-French gold rush epic Gold Dust, the gothic horror-action film Van Helsing, the critically acclaimed Brokeback Mountain, which won three Academy Awards, including Best Director, as well as in RV, Cast Away, and several television commercials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Located west of the hamlet of Bragg Creek, Elbow Falls consists of several smaller waterfalls along the Elbow River.
