Directors have at their disposal the western prairies, the Canadian Badlands, the Rocky Mountains, and more. Here\u2019s a closer look at 10 of Alberta\u2019s most popular filming locations, as detailed by<a href=\"https:\/\/calgary-trend.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/calgary-trend.com\/\"> Calgary Trend<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Fortress Mountain<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Once a ski resort in Kananaskis, Fortress Mountain is now used by Canadian researchers to study the impact of climate change on the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In early December 2009, scenes for the science fiction thriller Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio were filmed here. In December 2011, the cast and crew of The Bourne Legacy also worked on the site.
